摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To decrease the floating capacity to additive capacity electrodes consisting of transparent conductive films and to lessen the dulling of waveforms by providing the additive capacity electrodes in the form of stripes in the direction orthogonal with scan bus lines on an active element substrate. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted by forming the additive capacity electrodes 21 in the form of stripes in the direction orthogonal with the scan bus lines 13 on the glass substrate 12. Further, an insulating film 15 is formed thereon over the entire surface and switching elements 11 consisting of thin-film transistors, scan bus lines 13, data bus lines 17, and picture element electrodes 16 are formed thereon to constitute the active element substrate 1. A liquid crystal layer 3 is clamped between a glass substrate 18 and a counter substrate 2 constituted of a counter electrode 20 provided thereon. The floating capacity is drastically decreased if the device is formed in such a manner and, therefore, the dulling of the waveforms is lessened and the provision of the additive capacity is possible even in the case of the large-sized panel.</p>
