PURPOSE:To produce percussion sounds in the same manner as a normal actual musical instrument by measuring the distance from a prescribed position in the cavity of a drum main body to a prescribed position on the inside surface of a diaphragm by a distance measuring means and producing sounds in accordance with this distance. CONSTITUTION:The distance between the inside surface of a diaphragm 2 stretched over the aperture face of a drum main body 1 and a prescribed position in the cavity formed in the drum main body 1 is measured by a distance measuring means 5, and the characteristic of musical sounds to be produced is controlled in accordance with this measured distance. Thus, this drum can be directly applied to a normal actual drum musical instrument, and percussion is performed with the same sense of percussion as conventional without a special diaphragm. |
