A process for packaging dough pieces (4) or for prodn. of the product (8) involves laying the dough pieces (4) on a material strip (2) and then winding to a roll (3). Also claimed is packaging consisting of a windable material strip (2), esp. for use in process (B). USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is used to package unbaked pretzels, pastries, bread and the like, e.g. for storage, transport and/or retail. The packaged product is simple and inexpensive to produce.
