<p>The invention concerns panel lifting devices of the kind comprising a wheel-mounted stand including a vertical standard formed by telescoping sections, of which sections an outer tube is carried at its lower end by a preferably wheel-mounted base (6) and an inner section (10) supports at its upper end a carrier means (7) arranged to support the panels to be handled by the device, said outer tube (8) supporting drive means (16) to displace the inner section (10) verticaly relatively to the outer tube. In order to make the device more flexible, allowing it to be used for ceilings of different heights, the inner section consists, in accordance with the invention, of an intermediate tube (9) mounted in the outer tube and of a core section mounted in the intermediate tube and supporting the panel carrier means (7) at its upper end, a flexible line (19) being provided so as to extend between an attachment means at the lower part of the core section and an attachment means (20) on the outer tube while travelling over a pulley mounted at the top of the intermediate tube.</p> |
