The invention relates to a cooking assembly for stove or cooking table, having a cooking plate (1) and at least one heat generator (200) allowing to heat a container without being directly in contact with it. According to the invention the cooking plate (1) has an opening (4) associated with each heat generator (200) allowing a direct action of said generator, and retractable closure means such as movable caps (203) are associated with each opening (4) in order to obturate said opening when the heat generator (200) is not used, the movable obturator (203) being then flush with the upper plane (P) of the cooking plate (1), motor-driven means being provided to retract said movable cap in order to unmask the heat generator for its utilization. Application to cooking assemblies for gas stoves and/or electric cookers having a cooling plate made of vitroceramic material, molded glass or agglomerated mineral fibers.
