A method and apparatus for controlling back pressure in an injection molding machine. Forward and backward movements of an injection plunger are converted into rotational motion and the turning force and back pressure of the injection plunger during the step of charging material are controlled. An electric motor serves for carrying out back pressure control and a torque limiting control function is performed to limit the output torque of the motor according to the magnitude of a set value of back pressure. |
