PURPOSE:To seal a plasma generated by laser beam radiation so as to enhance generation efficiency of an X-ray by forming an X-ray transmitting film on a metal film, interposing a space in a portion between the metal film and the X-ray transmitting film, and radiating a laser beam on the metal film in the space. CONSTITUTION:Inside a cassette 5, a tape of a double structure consisting of a metal tape 2 of Al, Au, Ti or the like and a polyimide tape 3 having a high transmission factor of an X-ray is wound around pulleys 5c at both ends. In the central portion of the cassette 5, two spacers 5a and four guide rods 5b are disposed at suitable points. Between the two spacers 5a, a space A of about 1 mm width is formed between the metal tape 2 and the polyimide tape 3. A plasma generated by laser beam radiation is sealed in the space A formed between the metal tape 2 and the polyimide tape 3 for a short period. Therefore, a time of interaction between a laser beam and the plasma becomes longer so that generation efficiency of an X-ray can be enhanced. |
