PURPOSE:To shorten a graph drawing time, and to improve a memory utilizing efficiency by calculating the coordinate columns in a vertical axis direction so that the intervals can be short with the increase of the rate of change of the graph at the time of drawing the graph at a display medium at every function, and searching the passing point coordinate of the graph after synthesizing the coordinate columns. CONSTITUTION:A logical arithmetic circuit is constituted of a CPU 3, ROM 5, and RAM 7 as leading parts, and a display device controlling circuit 12 or the like to display the prescribed graphic is connected with a display medium 10. Then, the coordinate columns in the vertical axis direction are calculated so that the intervals can be short with the increase of the rate of change of the graph at the time of drawing the graph of a function at a display medium 10 at every function indicating the graph, and the calculated coordinate columns in the vertical direction at every function are synthesized, and arrayed in a rising order or a falling order on the display medium 10. Point coordinate columns indicating the passing points of the graph on the display medium 10 are calculated based on the synthesized coordinate columns in the vertical direction, and the graph is drawn at the display medium 10 based on the point coordinate columns. Thus, the drawing time can be shortened, and the utilizing efficiency of the memory 7 can be improved. |
