PURPOSE:To obtain higher image quality and higher contrast and to improve the printability on the image forming mask material by using a thermal transfer system, by which a light non-transmittable layer of the original plate of the image forming mask material is surely peeled and transferred to a receiving sheet side. CONSTITUTION:The layer 3 side of the original plate 1 of the image forming mask material having the light non-transmittable layer 3 on a light transmittable base 2 and the receiving sheet 4 are superposed on each other and are subjected to heating and printing by a heating and printing means 5 from the rear of the sheet 4. The layer 3 of the unheated part 3a is transferred to the receiving sheet 4 when the sheet 4 is peeled after this heating and printing. The image forming mask material of a negative image is thus formed from the original plate 1. The mask material is easily formed by using the thermal transfer system in such a manner. In addition, the light non-transmittable layer of the original plate of the image forming mask material is surely peeled and transferred to the receiving sheet side in the formation and, therefore, the higher image quality and the higher contrast are obtd. and the printability is improved. |
