Segmented propulsion cage for tandem missile - has guide members centring leading portion on detachment

Segmented propulsion cage is used for a tandem missile and has first and second mountings with locking devices for the leading and trailing portions. On the detachment of the cage, the locking device between the segments and the leading portion is freed before that for the trailing one. - At the first mounting, the segments have guide members centring the leading portion on cage detachment. These can be arranged to open up the cage through an angle of roughly 1.5 deg.
