The rev regulation circuit (1-5) allows the motor voltage to be raised or lowered. This enables an increase or decrease of the motor revs, in a given motor operating phase, eg during the motor run-up or motor braking. Pref, the normal motor operating voltage is 12 V, with the motor voltage raised to 24 V during motor run-up or braking. The motor voltage can be dropped during the commutation of the current supplied to the starter windngs, or shortly before commutation.
