PURPOSE:To provide a highly integrated optical module reduced in size in terms of its high integration by associating boards such as a photoelectric integrated circuit board or an optically integrated circuit board, an optical waveguide board and an electric circuit board. CONSTITUTION:Three sad photoelectric integrated circuit boards or optically integrated circuit boards 1 are spaced at suitable interval, optical waveguide board 2 is installed at the lower end of the photoelectric or optically integrated boards 1 to be optically connected, and an electric circuit board 3 is mounted at the upper end side of the boards 1 to be electrically connected.
