PURPOSE:To mold a product having uniform density and a wt. by providing a foamed particle feeder controlling the supply amount of foamed particles to a weighting hopper corresponding to the wt. of the thermoplastic resin foamed particles in the weighing hopper equipped with a wt. measuring means, a particle feed hopper temporarily holding a definite wt. of the foamed particles weighed in the weighting hopper to subsequently feed the same and a filling machine filling a mold with the foamed particles. CONSTITUTION:A definite wt. of the foamed particles weighed in a weighing hopper 3 are sent to a particle feed hopper 7 and a predetermined wt. of the foamed particles transferred to the particle feed hopper 7 to be held therein are transferred to a holding hopper 8a at first. Continuously, the foamed particles are weighed in the weighing hopper 3 and the weighed foamed particles are transferred from the particle feed hopper 7 to a holding hopper 8b and successively transferred to holding hoppers 8c, 8d in the same way. By changing over the transfer distinations of the foamed particles transferred from the particle feed hopper 7 by change-over valves 10a-10d, a definite amount of the foamed particles are certainly transferred to the respective holding hoppers 8a-8d. Subsequently, the foamed particles are fed to a mold 9 by the filling machines 11a-11d connected to the respective holding hoppers 8a-8d to fill the respective molding chambers 12a-12d of the mold 9. |
