PURPOSE:To improve the peel strength of an interlayer and to reduce a production cost by laminating a carbon fi ber felt, impregnated with thermoplastic resin, and a carbon fiber mat impregnated with thermosetting resin to mould and burn the laminate. CONSTITUTION:A substance where a carbon fiber felt impregnated with thermosetting resin is combined with a carbon fiber mat impregnated with thermosetting resin or a carbon fiber paper is combined with the carbon fiber mat impregnated with thermosetting resin is laminated in one or more layers. The laminates are properly laminated according to a final purpose and further burnt to produce a carbon fiber heat insulating material. Pitch or PAN carbon fibers are used as the carbon fiber felt. Phenol resin, fran resin, epoxy resin, and polyamide resin are used as the thermosetting resin. This constitution provides a heat insulating material which is excellent in peel strength, reduces in cost, and prevented from lowering of thermal conductivity. |
