1300446 Preparations of living microorganisms CERNELLE AB 10 March 1970 [13 Oct 1969] 11294/70 Heading C6F [Also in Division A5] A competition for controlling the bacterial flora in the intestines of human beings and animals such as suckling pigs and calves, comprises the bacterial product of cultivating in an aqueous nutrient medium containing carbohydrates and sources of organic nitrogen and growth substances, under submerse anaerobic conditions, Streptocorrus faecium Cernelle 68 (NCIB 10 415), separating the resulting bulk of bacteria from the cultivation medium and preferably freezedrying the bacteria. The strain was developed by sub-cultivation from a natural strain. The merphological and cultural properties are given. |
