PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of a thin film and to improve durability and reliability by using a heat-molded synthetic resin containing no thermal stabilizer additive or reduced amt. thereof for a transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:The medium consists of a transparent substrate 1, first enhancing film 2, recording film 3, second enhancing film 4, metal reflecting film 5, and protective film 6. The transparent substrate 1 consists of a heat-molded synthetic resin containing no or reduced thermal stabilizer additive. By controlling and limiting the heat-molding conditions in order to remove the thermal stabilizer or to decrease its amt. as small as possible which relates to corrosion of the thin film, and by using the transparent substrate thus formed under these conditions, corrosion of a thin film is prevented and durability and reliability of the medium can be improved. |
