摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a component to be accurately positioned independent of the shape of its lead and its size by a method wherein only the tip of a lead is irradiated with belt-shaped light, and required image data are obtained. CONSTITUTION:Laser rays emitted from a laser ray source 11 are enlarged in beam diameter through a cylindrical lens 12 and emitted through a slit 13 as the belt-shaped light R long in the direction in which the leads L are arranged. The belt-shaped light R is reflected by a reflection mirror 21, made to obliquely irradiate the tip of the lead L of a component P from outside, and made to impinge on a camera 30. The belt-shaped light R is made to obliquely irradiate only the tip of the lead L from outside by adjusting the position and the angle of the reflective mirror 21, whereby the image signal of only the tip of the lead L can be obtained even if the lead L is provided protruding upright. The reflective mirror 21 is mounted on an XY drive device 22 which can be changed in position corresponding to the kind or the size of the component. The reflective mirror 21 can be rotated by a rotation drive device 23 around a shaft 24 parallel to the direction in which the leads are arranged so as to adjust the incident angle of light reflected from the lead L to the camera 30.
