PURPOSE:To improve a stroke quantity, seat height, and storing box capacity with the whole engine compacted by arranging a carburetor and an air cleaner case with dead spaces on the upper part of a cylinder or the side in the front of a swing case utilized. CONSTITUTION:The cylinder 11 and the cylinder head 12 of a unit swing type engine 4 are forwardly tilted in approximately horrizontal, a swing case 14 is continuedly provided backward from one side of a crank case 13 ranging backward from the cylinder 11 and the cylinder head 12, and a rear wheel 2 is axis-supported on the inner side of the rear of the case 14. An exhaust passage 24 is introduced from the lower surface of the cylinder head 12 to be led to the opposite side of the swing case 14, and then is extended backward under a fan casing 19 to be connected to a muffler 25 arranged on the side of the rear wheel 2. On the other hand, a carburetor 26, facing in an approximate fore and aft direction, is arranged on the side of the cylinder 11 and the cylinder head 12 in the front of the swing case 14, an air intake system is laid out with the carburetor 26 as a center, and an air cleaner case 28 is installed along the cylinder 11 upper surface in the direct front of the crank case 13. |
