Necked glass object ejection from fork holder - with swivel rotary brush

The ejecting device for use with transfer machines with U-shaped support forks comprises a continuously rotating brush fitted to a swivel arm attached to support frame above the forks. On lowering of the swivel arm the brush makes contact with the workpiece mouth ejecting it from the fork at right angles to the fork travel direction, the forks being mounted in parallel on a chain conveyor with their axes at right angles to their direction of travel. The method is fast and well suited to the high production rate of modern bottle making plant. The mechanism is linked to an inspection device, which activates so as to remove rejects from the conveyor.
