PURPOSE: To quickly and precisely maintain the selected speed by providing a movable handle which is in electric communication with a computer of a propulsion system at a neutral location, a forward location, and a backward location so that it can be positioned at these locations, and providing a switching means in correlation with the movable handle. CONSTITUTION: The digital power control device 10 is provided with a housing 12 supporting a linear cam 14 in it, and the linear cam 14 has a horizontal part 28 with the upper roller surface having a central movement-stopping groove 30, a forward bumper 32, and a backward bumper 34. A movable handle 36 is provided and supported by upper and lower handle guides 20, 22, and upper and lower shaft-attachments 42, 44 and correlated bushing/stops 46, 48 provide smooth forward movement and backward movement of the handle 36. A projection 50 provided on the handle-shaft 38 is provided with a movement-stopping switch 52 and a converter U ring 54, and the movement-stopping switch 52 has a roller ball 56 rolling along the upper surface of the horizontal part 28 of the linear cam 14. Besides, a handle grip 40 is provided with a speed keeping switch 64 and a vernier control switch 66. |
