<p>PURPOSE:To prevent cracking in the precious wood veneer by a method wherein plywood is interposed between base board and the precious wood veneer at the bonding of the precious wood veneer to the metal base board by forming the veneer along the surface of the base board. CONSTITUTION:A metal base board 2, in which a curved surface 52, a bent edge 62 and a plurality of openings 13 are formed, is placed on the bottom force of a hot press. Next, on the base board 2, several sheets of veneer 8a for forming plywood 8, a precious wood veneer 9 equipped with reinforcing film 12 and several sheets of Japanese paper are laminated in the order named. At this time, thermosetting synthetic resin-based adhesive film is interposed between the veneer 8a and the base board 2, between the veneers 8a and between the veneer 8a and the precious wood veneer 9. The resultant laminates are bonded to the base board 2 with a hot press by being formed along the curved surface 52 and the bent edge 62. Since being flexible, the plywood 8 gets to well fit the base board 2. Further, since the precious wood veneer 9 gets to well fit the plywood 8 and, at the same time, is given the reinforcing function of the reinforcing film 12, the development of crack in the precious wood veneer 9 is eliminated.</p> |
