PURPOSE:To surely separate and select products from unnecessary matters by a method wherein three pairs of rolls are arranged to the direction of flow of product, which is continuous in the form of string, under the condition that the rotational speed of the pair of intermediate rolls are set to be comparatively faster than that of the remaining pairs of the rolls so as to pull each connecting part between the product and the unnecessary matter. CONSTITUTION:Products D and unnecessary matters E, which are continuously delivered in the form of string from molds B, are introduced from a conveyor 31 between the foremost rolls 1 and 1' and then between the intermediate rolls 2 and 2'. At this time, since the rotational speed of the intermediate rolls 2 and 2' is set to be faster than that of the foremost rolls 1 and 1', the product D is strongly pulled, resulting in separating the product D from the unnecessary matter E. Next, the intermediate rolls 2 and 2' hold the unnecessary matter E between them, resulting in separating the unnecessary matter E from the connecting part between the unnecessary matter E and the following product D. After that, the product D and the unnecessary matter E are directed to the final end rolls 3 and 3'. In this case, since the interval between the rolls 3 and 3' and the intermediate rolls 2 and 2' is set to be shorter than the length of the product D and longer than that of the unnecessary matter E, the product D is held between the final end rolls 3 and 3' and the unnecessary matter E falls between both the rolls 2 and 2' and 3 and 3'. |
