MONITORING DEVICE FOR PHOTOELECTRIC EXCHANGE

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and the maintenance performance by monitoring an operating state at an electric signal and an optical signal level so as to widen a range of line monitor in the device. CONSTITUTION:An optical demultiplexer 12 demultiplexes an optical signal converted by an electrooptic conversion circuit 11 into 1st and 2nd optical signals and outputs the 1st optical signal into an output optical signal 00. An optical demultiplexer 13 demultiplexes an input optical signal IO into 3rd and 4th optical signals and gives the 3rd optical signal to an optoelectric conversion circuit 14. An optical switch 15 selects either the 2nd or the 4th optical signal and an optoelectric conversion circuit 16 converts the selected optical signal into a selected 1st electric signal. A selector 17 selects either an input electric signal IE or an output electric signal OE and outputs a selected 2nd electric signal. A comparator 18 compares the selected 1st electric signal and the selected 2nd electric signal and outputs the result of comparison. Thus, the monitor range is widened and the reliability and the maintenance performance are improved.
