<p>PURPOSE:To attain maintenance of the entire network in an integrated form when the degree of coupling between networks is decreased by using a maintenance protocol in common between 1st and 2nd networks. CONSTITUTION:An ATM ring (ATMR) 2 is connected to a broad band exchange node ATMT 1 and a call processing management node RANM 5 is connected to the ATMR 2. Maintenance work stations MAC 7, 8 are connected respectively to the ATMT 1 and the RANM 5 and the transfer of a maintenance command, a fault message, a charging data and a traffic data between the ATMT 1 and the RANM 5 is implemented by using a virtual connection 9 set fixedly. Since the maintenance protocol is used in common between the 1st network (ATMR) and the 2nd network (ATMT), when the degree of coupling between the networks is decreased, the entire network is subject to maintenance in an integrated form.</p> |
