Process for manufacture of a foundry mould by use of foam material and ceramique binder.

In the manufacture of a ceramic foundry mould, a model coated with a contact layer is covered, in a manufacturing mould, with a ceramic binder (slip) forming a coherent cellular foam which expands and adheres to the surface of the model. Removal from the mould takes place after 5 to 30 minutes and the mould is fired after removal of the model. Several compositions of binder (slip) are also claimed. <IMAGE>
