PURPOSE:To prolong time for recording in the case of a monoral signal double as long as the time in the case of a stereo signal by controlling a memory and a gate circuit provided between first and second output circuits. CONSTITUTION:A mode switching control signal 4 controls a memory 1 and a gate circuit 3 provided between two output circuits 2R and 2L for the right and left ears, and when a control signal 5 is in a stereo mode, output signals 6A and 6B are separately transmitted from the memory 1 to the output circuits 2R and 2L. On the other hand, when the signal 5 is in a monoral mode, the signal 6A or 6B is simultaneously transmitted to the two output circuits 2R and 2L respectively. Therefore, when the signals 6A and 6B in the monoral operation are recorded so as to be monoral signals obtained at different time, the recording time in the monoral mode is prolonged double as long as the recording time in the stereo mode by transmitting the signals 6A and 6B at different time. |
