PURPOSE:To enhance the color forming properties, whiteness preservability and image preservability of a recording material by using a fluorane compound whose sixth position is substituted with a specific amino group as an electron donating leuco dye. CONSTITUTION:In a recording material utilizing the color development due to the contact of an electron donating leuco dye and an electron acceptive compound, a fluorane compound whose sixth position is substituted with an amino group represented by formula (I) (wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group, at least one of R2-R4 is an electron withdrawing group and the remainder is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent group or R2-R4 are mutually bonded to form a 5-12-membered ring containing an electron withdrawing group and X is a divalent group) is used as the electron donating leuco dye. By this method, the color forming properties, whiteness preservability and image preservability of the recording material are enhanced. |
