PURPOSE:To prevent over steering by modifying the functional relation for reducing the assisting force against the car speed and steering speed in accordance to the results from means for deciding whether the steering angle is within setting level. CONSTITUTION:A power cylinder 18 is driven by delivery oil from an oil pump 15 to be driven by an engine 14 and regulated of delivery through a drive signal from a control circuit 2, to assist the steering force. In such system, the control circuit 2 is provided with output signals from car speed signal generating means 1 and steering signal generating means 4. Then it is decided whether the steering angle is within setting level on the basis of steering signal provided from said means 4 to modify the functional relation for reducing the assisting force against the car speed and steering position in accordance to the results. When the steering angle exceeds over the setting range, the assisting force is reduced with correspondence to increase of car speed and steering position. |
