PURPOSE:To stabilize a reflection surface and to improve visibility and display definition by making the display light of a display device incident on the inside of a prism through the boundary of the prism on a dash board side and reflecting the incident light on the boundary of the prism on a windshield side. CONSTITUTION:The display light of the display device 1 is made incident on the inside of the prism 2 through the boundary 2C of the prism 2 on the dash board side, and the incident light is reflected on the boundary 2B on the windshield side in the prism 2, and then, the reflected light is outputted to the driver's seat side after being transmitted through the boundary 2A of the prism 2 on the driver's seat side. Then, driving information by the display device 1 can be viewed within the visual field of the boundary 2B on the windshield side which can be seen through the boundary 2A of the prism 2 on the driver's seat side from the driver's seat. At this time, the prism is arranged on the dash board 4, so that the boundary 2B on the windshield side is positioned at the peripheral part of the visual field of the windshield 3, and the driving information can be viewed at the peripheral part of the visual field of the windshield 3. Thus, the display device for a vehicle whose reflection surface can be stabilized and which has high visibility and display definition can be obtained. |
