PURPOSE:To perform change gear control harmonizing well balanced with smooth acceleration characteristics at all times by making a constitution to change gear to an optimum gear shift stage which is determined on the basis of the surplus driving force of each gear shift stage obtained and the surplus engine speed. CONSTITUTION:An after-gear-change driving force presumption means, a demanded driving force presumption means, a surplus driving force operation means, which operates the surplus driving force at each gear shift stage based on the demanded driving force and the after-gear-change driving force obtained, and an after-gear-change engine speed presumption means, which presumes the after-gear-change engine speed reached when gear is changed to each gear shift stage based on the traveling condition information obtained, are equipped. The maximum allowable engine speed, which an engine can allow, and the surplus engine speed at each gear shift stage based on the after-gear-change engine speed, are operated by a surplus engine speed operation means and constituted so that a gear can be changed to an optimum gear shift stage, which is determined on the basis of the surplus driving force at each gear shift stage and the surplus engine speed obtained, by a change gear control means. |
