PURPOSE:To obtain a differential limitting force by placing a frictional member which is pressed to the side of a planetary carrier through the operation of a helical gear at the time of torque transmission, between a pinion gear and the planetary carrier. CONSTITUTION:The motive power input into a ring gear 11 is divided, and the output of a pinion carrier 15 is transmitted to front wheel driving shafts 21, 22 through a front wheel differential device 20, while the output of a son gear 12 is transmitted to rear wheel driving shafts 31, 32 through gears 25, 24, 26, 28, as well as a rear wheel differential device 30. The ring gear 11, pinion gears 13A, 13B, and the son gear 12 generate thrusting due to a helical gear. When there is no difference in the rotational velocity between front and rear wheels, the gears 13A, B are not rotated, while if there is the difference in the velocity, the gears are autorotated and revoluted at the same time. The thrusting force applied to the gear 13A is proportional to the output torque of a transmission, while a frictional multiple disc clutch 35 is pressed to a planetary carrier 15 by the force proportional to the output torque of the transmission, and the rotation of the gear 13A is suppressed thereby. The differential limitting force proportional to a drive torque is thus obtained.
