The pin disc grinding mill has two rotors (3, 4) which rotate in opposite directions inside a housing (2). Each rotor is mounted on a shaft (10) and consists of two circular plates (13, 14) and (15, 16) which are attached to hubs (11, 12). The two shafts (10) are in line with each other. Each rotor has rings of pins (5) which project axially and which pass through one of the plates (14, 15) and are fixed to the other plates (13, 16). The rings of pins are so arranged that the rings of one rotor are positioned between adjacent rings of the other rotor. USE/ADVANTAGE - Grinding mill. Making the rotors from two plates reduces the motor weight.
