PURPOSE:To promote excavation efficiency and to prevent a landslide by controlling revolution speed of a cutter head and excavation speed, and maintaining general driving force in constant to excavate. CONSTITUTION:A controller 44 takes in detection signals of each of stroke sensors 42a-42n, driving speed v of a cutter head 20 is calculated, control signals are transmitted to jack controllers 36a-36n so that the driving speed (v) reaches a specific value, and flow of hydraulic fluid supplied to thrust jacks 34a-34n is regulated. Torque T of the cutter head 20 is less than a control value, and when the driving speed (v) is controlled to a set point, the controller 44 decides whether total driving force F as the sum total of pushing force f1-fn for the thrust jacks 34a-34n is approximately equal to target driving force F0 specified in advance. When F is not equal to F0, the controller 44 transmits the control signals to change revolution-speed n and driving speed (v) of the cutter head 20 to a motor controller 46 and the jack controllers 36a-36n so that F is approximately equal to F0. |
