A road sign comprises a sign board of planar polygonal form (1), a first frame attached to a front face of the sign board and extending adjacent the edges thereof, the first frame being formed from a plurality of linear elements (2, 3, 4) joined by corner brackets (5) and a second frame attached to a rear face of the sign board and including two legs (10) extending in parallel to the plane of the sign board, a pivoting sub-frame being attached to the second frame so as to be movable from a first position substantially coplanar with the second frame to a second position inclined thereto at an acute angle, the sub- frame including two parallel legs (13) which, in the first position of the sub-frame, extend parallel to, and terminate on a line joining the extremities of, the legs of the second frame. Preferably the frames are formed from tubular elements of rectangular cross-section, joined by corner brackets (5) having spigots (6) received in the respective tube ends. <IMAGE> |
