PURPOSE:To obtain rich musical tones having naturality by changing with time the amplitude coefficients to be applied to each higher harmonic component constituting musical tones based on mutually varying desired function waveforms. CONSTITUTION:Function generators 18a thru 18p are operated by the pulses of narrow widths synchronized to the rise of the key-ON signals from a one-shot circuit 20 and any of these is selected by the enable signals N1 thru n19 which indicate the order of each higher harmonic component being outputted from a counter 19 in each calculation section. These enable signals count the clock pulses tc from a clock oscillator 3 and therefore, they perfectly synchronize with the addition operation of a higher harmonic section adder 8. Hence, the higher harmonic amplitude coefficient Cnt outputted from the function generator (any of 18a thru 18p) selected by the enable signals is multiplied by the higher harmonic sine wave amplitude value corresponding to this in a higher harmonic amplitude multiplier 13, whereby the amplitude value of each higher harmonic wave at each sampling point is obtainable. |
