PURPOSE:To allow the easy mass production of the balloon catheter by providing a hole communicating a side lumen and the outside at nearly the center of the recessed part of a molded tube, then positioning the balloon in the annular recessed part of the tube and fixing both ends of the balloon to the annular recessed part. CONSTITUTION:The molded tube which is provided with the main lumen 5 and side lumen 6 communicating with the main lumen 5 and side lumen 6 of a catheter tube 2 each other and is provided with the annular recessed part 11 for balloon mounting of the depth nearly equal to the thickness of the balloon 10 to be mounted on the outer peripheral surface is integrally molded by injection molding or press forming and is fixed to the front end surface of the catheter tube 2. After the hole 12 communicating with the side lumen and the outside is provided at nearly the center of the recessed part of the molded tube, the balloon 10 is positioned in the annular recessed part 11 of the molded tube and ends of the balloon are fixed to the annular recessed part. The easy mass production of the balloon catheter is executed in this way. |
