Milling tool comprising a tool body and a machining head which are distinct. According to the invention the machining head (2) is made of a ceramic and is added onto the tool body (1), itself made of a material which has a resilience higher than that of the said ceramic, such as a tool steel or a tungsten carbide. One application is the manufacture of a tool which is at the same time relatively nonbrittle, exhibiting an excellent aptitude for machining and not prohibitively costly to manufacture.
