COMBINATION OF AN INJECTING UNIT AND PLASTICIZING UNIT FOR AN INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE The means for locking a horizontal plasticizing cylinder to the carrying block of the injecting unit of an injection molding machine comprises two cylinder-locking sliders, which are disposed on opposite sides of the axis of said cylinder and are radially movable by means of hydraulic cylinders. In a locking position, said sliders extend in diametrically opposite recesses of the plasticizing cylinder. A shaft for driving the feed screw of the plasticizing unit comprises a coupling section, which is formed with a radial guide groove, in which a screwlocking slider is radially displaceably mounted. That screw-locking slider is non-rotatably connected to said shaft. A coupling bridge is secured to the upper one of the cylinder-locking sliders. When the feed screw is in a desired angular position said coupling bridge is coupled to the screw-locking slider so that said one cylinderlocking slider and said screw-locking slider are simultaneously moved to their locking position. Such an arrangement will facilitate an automatic change of the plasticizing unit and will also facilitate the manufacture in series and the assembling because an unlocking movement of the screw-locking slider can directly be derived from an unlocking movement of the cylinder-locking slider. |
