PURPOSE:To catch soot with an improved efficiency and reduce the soiling especially at the parts for attachment, by providing a flow-guiding plate with side-walls in opposition to each other and a filter between this flow-guiding plate and the inner wall of a cylindrical part above and by forming openings at corners in the flow-guiding plate. CONSTITUTION:By running a blower 19, sooty fumes produced at a cooking apparatus is forced to flow through a passageway formed between a flow- guiding plate 36 and the inner wall of a cylindrical part 27; a filter 39 and a two-layer filter 40 guide the flow of the sooty fumes as well as catch the oily matter; since the passageway for the sooty fumes is narrow, the flow occurs at a high velocity so that the sooty fumes that would otherwise spread outward from the hood 26 are forced to be sucked in under a partial vacuum; the fumes flow through an inlet 16 and an outlet 17 and is discharged to the outside through a duct 18. The oily matter caught by the filter 39 gathers on the flow- guiding plate 36 and is disposed of by dismounting the flow-guiding plate 36. Openings 38 are formed at corners in the flow-guiding plate 36 so that through these openings the flow-guiding plate can be attended to for cleaning and maintenance in a simple manner. |
