PURPOSE:To facilitate the installation work and the service work by using in a detachable manner a front grille which completely covers the front facing indoors of the main body and by placing on the right side of the main body piping connectors in such a manner as to have them looking to the front. CONSTITUTION:The main body C of an air conditioner has a front grille 2 covering its entire front and has its main refrigeration cycle operative by circularly connecting a compressor 14, outdoor heat-exchanger 12, main open-close valve 18, main pressure reducer 22, main indoor heat-exchanger 3, and accumulator 32. To form branch circulation lines respectively to indoor units A, B on the high-pressure side, high pressure-side connectors 7a are connected to a point between the outdoor heat-exchanger 12 and the main open-close valve 18 with the interposition of auxiliary open-close valves 19, 20 and auxiliary pressure reducers 25, 24, 25; on the low-pressure side, low pressure- side connectors 7b are connected to a point between the main indoor heat-exchanger 3 and the compressor 14. The auxiliary pressure reducer 25 is connected on the forward side of the auxiliary pressure reducers 23, 24. Furthermore a propeller fan 11 and a centrifugal fan 10 are provided. The indoor units A, B respectively form refrigeration cycles with the main refrigeration cycle by connection of heat exchangers 16 respectively through pipes 5, 6 to their high pressure-side connection part 7a and low pressure- side connection part 7b. |
