摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an R-Fe (Co)-B-based-quenched magnet which contains W, whose rare-earth element content is small, which can be made anisotropic at high density by keeping a high coercive force, whose residual flux density is high and whose squareness property is high by a method wherein it is composed of the high-density plastic- deformation substance of a liquid quenched alloy having a composition expressed by a specific general formula. CONSTITUTION:This magnet is composed of the high-density plastic-deformation substance of a liquid quenched allay whose general formula is RX (Fe1-wCow)100-x-y-z-w-vBywzTuMv(where R represents at least one kind of rare-earth element including Y, 6<=x<=16, 2<=y<=25, 0<=w<=1.0, z>0, u>0, 0<=u+z<=12, 0<v<=5, T represents at least one kind out of Nb, Mo, Ti, V and Cr and M represents at least one kind out of Mg, Al, Ga, Sb, Te, Ge and In). For example, a powder, a thin belt, a molded substance or the like of the liquid quenched alloy of said composition is made highly dense at a theoretical density of 70% or higher by using an HIP or a hot press. After that, a temperature plastic working operation is executed at 600 to 1000 deg.C, at a strain rate of 10<-4> to 1/sec and at a working rate of 30% or higher. An anisotropic permanent magnet whose axis of easy magnetization has been lined up in a working direction is obtained.
