BENZOFURANCARBOXAMIDES USEFUL AS ANTIEMFTIC OR ANTIPSYCHOTIC AGENTS Benzofurancarboxamides represented by the formula (I): I wherein Z represents the structural formula wherein the dotted line represents two hydrogen atoms or another bond, the benzo ¢b! furan ring or dihydrobenzo ¢b! furan ring being completed by Z being either unsubstituted or substituted at the 2- or 3-position by a lower alkyl group; R1, R2 and R3 may be the same or different and represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a halogen atom, an amino group, an alkylamino group, a nitro group, an acylamido group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and a sulfonamido group having up to 6 carbon atoms; and A represents an amino alkyl group; and pharmaceutical preparations containing the same. The above-defined benzofuran-carboxamides are used as antiemetic and/or antipsychotic agents. |
