PURPOSE:To make it possible to cut with high accuracy each molded item regardless of strain of a runner etc., by cutting the molded item while the cutting position is adjusted in accordance with a measurement of a dimension from the standard position to the molded item. CONSTITUTION:When a lens 40 placed on a fixture 16 is fixed on a clamper with runners 39 and 41, a measuring member 48 is forwarded to the lens 40 side by means of an actuator 38 and the dimension of the lens 40 from a standard position is successively read and is stored once in a memory 46 of a controller 45. Then, when an X-axis moving block 13 is moved through an X-axis moving motor 15 and a feed screw 14, the plastic lens 40 is cut at the part of a gate part 42 by means of a laser beam from a laser nozzle 22. In this case, as a position of the laser nozzle 22 in the Y-axis direction is adjusted through a motor 25 and a feed screw 24 and the dimension L is accurately controlled, even a lens 40 wherein molding strain exists in a runner 39 can be accurately cut. |
