PURPOSE:To improve stability of a high sensitive raw preservative color image by a method wherein a specific compound is contained in a thermal coloring layer of a thermal recording material to which the thermal coloring layer containing an electron donative colorless dye and an electron acceptive compound is provided. CONSTITUTION:4-Hydroxydiphenylsulfone compound as given by the formula (I) and a compound as given by the formula II are contained in a thermal coloring layer provided onto a base material. There are 4-hydroxy-4'- isopropoxydiphenylsulfone, 4-hydroxy-4'-propoxydiphenylsulfone, etc., as a concrete example of an electron acceptive compound, and triphenyl methanephthalyde compound, fluoran compound, etc., as an electron donative colorless dye capable of being used jointly with the compound II. The electron donative colorless dye, the electron acceptive compound, and a sensitizing agent together with water soluble high molecular aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol or the like are dispersed to be mixed with a mill or the like. After applying the obtained thermal coating solution to good quality paper, synthetic paper, etc., to be dried, the title thermal recording material is obtained by providing smoothness by calendar treatment. |
