<p>The pliers consists of cross hand grips (1,2) pivoting around the intersection (3). The grips consist of two image parts (5,6) with a U-cross section along their entire length, except the area adjacent to the pivot (3). The U-cross sections of the grips (5,6) and of the jaws (4) are orientated in such a way that the two halves form a box section. In the crossing point the two halves are kept together by a bolt or rivet (9) and distanced by two rings (10,11) serving at the same time as bearing elements for the bolt (9). Underneath the pivot (3) the part (5) of the grip is provided with a pin (12) serving as a fixing element for an optional spring. The grips (1,2) are provided with serrations on their outer surfaces serving as improved bonding surfaces for plastics insulating sheathings.</p> |
