The method comprises forming a continuous sheet prepreg by impregnating an aggregate of glass fibers and thermoplastic binder, then cooling and sectioning the obtained sheet (L),forming a sandwich-like composite section including at least two outer laminate layers (L1, L2) and an intermediate spacer material (SC), preheating the composed section to the melting temperature of the thermoplastic binder, transferring into a mold (22) the composite section, cold-molding and keeping the composite section in the mold until the thermoplastic binder sets.
