<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the working time of measuring the temperature of molten steel by a method wherein the present device is provided with an arm, supported rotatably on a traversing trestle, installed on an inclined floor around a furnace body, through a bearing and an arced lance, inserted into the inserting port of the side wall of the furnace body and equipped at the tip end of the arm. CONSTITUTION:A lance 12 is formed so as to have an arced shape and is attached to the tip end of an arm 13, corresponding to the radius of curvature of the arc. A probe is attached detachably to the tip end of the arm 13. A traversing trestle 15 is traversed, a lid 22 for the lance inserting port 21 of the side wall of a furnace body 3 is opened automatically, a rotating cylinder device 18 is operated to rotate a lever 19 about a rotary shaft by a predetermined angle. The arced lance 12 is operated about a rotating axis 12 and a probe 2 at the tip end thereof is invaded into molten steel 24 through the lance inserting port 21 to measure the temperature of the molten steel. The stroke of the lance is small and the operating speed of the same is quick in such a manner and therefore, times for the measurement of the temperature of the molten steel as well as sampling time can be shortened remarkably.</p> |
