摘要 A clamping wedge device for holding tools during forging and pressing has a wedge and an opposing wedge which are clamped against each other by a spring-loaded clamping screw. A gap, filled with silicone rubber, exists in at least one plane at right angles to the press plane and between the clamping screw, wddge and opposing wedge. On the inner circumference of the bores in each wedge and within the area of the press plane both wedge and opposing wedge have projections facing inwards towards the clamping screw. The projections form an area of reduced dia. around the screw in areas of vibration and max. bending. USE/ADVANTAGE - The clamp is used to hold dies during forging and pressing and almost eliminates clamping screw failure. (4pp Dwg.No.1/3)
