A MULTIANGLED LIGHTING UNIT

A multiangled lighting unit comprises a fluorescent tubular lighting unit (1) pivotally (2) mounted by a bracket (3) to the upper end of a tubular support member (4). The lighting unit (1) can pivot to any angle throughout 360 from the vertical position (5) and locked by pin (6). The support (4) is telescopically mounted in a second tubular support member (7) secured to a rod 26 fixed centrally in a base plate (8). The member (4) can be rotated horizontally through 360 relative to the member (7) providing a further angular movement of lighting unit (1). The member (4) can also be telescoped into or from the member (7) adjusting the height of the lighting unit (1) relative to the base plate (8) and locked by the screw threaded key (9). The base has three legs (11) which are hinged by pins (12) to the base plate and can be locked by leg locking relief tabs (14). The free ends of the legs have rubber angled boots (15). The unit can be stowed by folding the legs under the base plate and closing the telescopic members (4) and (7) into a compact portable condition.
