PURPOSE: To make it possible to form a uniform dielectric image forming layer on a cylindrical substrate and to inexpensively obtain a high-quality image by tightly shrinking a flexible and shrinkable pipe contg. a specific dielectric film formable polymer on a cylindrical supporting member formed by applying a continuous coating contg. a conductive material and a tacky adhesive material onto the outside surface thereof. CONSTITUTION: The flexible and shrinkable pipe contg. the dielectric film formable polymer having Tg of about -40 deg.C, charge attenuation of about <2 nanoclone/cm<2> /sec and elastic memory and the cylindrical supporting member having an outside diameter smaller than the bore of the flexible pipe are prepd. The continuous coating contg. the conductive material and the tacky adhesive material is applied on the inside of the pipe or the outside of the cylindrical supporting member and the pipe is shrunk to bring the inside surface of the pipe, the outside surface of the cylindrical supporting member and the continuous coating into tight physical contact with each other. As a result, the dielectric layer has a smooth image forming surface and uniform thickness, is inexpensive and is capable of forming the high-quality image. |
